Registration


Update - October 1, 2018: Registration for the 2018/19 Season is now closed. Most of our teams are full, however we may have space for new players on some of our teams, so please inquire if interested. Registration for the 2019-20 season will open on March 1, 2019 and the information listed below will be updated ahead of that date.

 

Registrations for each team are accepted in the order in which they are received complete. A registration is not considered complete until the completed registration form and all required payment and deposits are received.

Some teams will fill up, so please register early to avoid being wait-listed!

 

Registration fees for the 2018/19 Season are as follows:

Early bird pricing is in effect from March 1st to July 31st.

Regular pricing is in effect after July 31st.

 

Parental credit:

Please contact us to determine the value of any parental credit on record (awarded for coaching or participating in fundraisers) which will be deducted from the registration fees listed above.

Cheques:

All cheques shall be payable to: Morinville Youth Basketball Association (cash and e-transfer are also accepted).

All cheques for registration fees shall be dated to September 1, 2018.

All deposit cheques (see next section below) shall be dated to December 1, 2018.

 

For all levels above Mites, both of the following deposit cheques are required for every player:

1) Uniform Deposit of $100. This will be charged if the uniform provided is not returned in good condition within 30 days of the end of the season. This cheque shall be post-dated to December 1, 2018.

2) Parent Volunteer Deposit of $100. Every team must provide one parent volunteer to serve as either the score keeper or time keeper for every league game. This deposit will be charged if the parent/guardian does not complete their score keeping / time keeping duties if asked to (typically 1-3 games during the season, depending on team size). This cheque shall be post-dated to December 1, 2018.

Note: the two deposit cheques may be combined into one cheque for $200 if you wish.

 

Submission of registration:

All registration forms, fee payment, and deposits shall be submitted to James Bedford. Please see our contact page for further details. If dropping off, please contact James in advance to make arrangements.

A registration is not considered complete until the completed registration form and all required payment and deposits are received.

You will be sent a confirmation email within 3 days of the receipt of your registration. Please contact us if you do not receive confirmation.

 

Refunds:

Refunds are subject to a $50 fee and will not be considered after October 15th.

 

NSF fee:

Any parents paying by cheques that are NSF will be subject to an additional fee of $25.

 

Equipment required:

All players require clean, indoor athletic shoes and a properly sized basketball:

Size 5 (or 27.5): Mites Co-ed, Mini Boys, Mini Girls

Size 6 (or 28.5): Bantam Boys, Bantam Girls, Midget Girls, Juvenile Girls

Size 7 (or 29.5): Midget Boys, Juvenile Boys
