Darryl Paziuk named EYBA Coach of the Year

Mar. 24, 2018

Sabretooths Bantam Girls coach, Darryl Paziuk, has been honoured as the EYBA's Coach of the Year, presented by Alberta Basketball.

Coach Darryl received this award at the EYBA Coach Appreciation Night on March 24, after being nominated by his assistant coach, Shawn Bissonnette, for a number of reasons, including Darryl's contagious passion for the sport, his positive attitude with the girls on his team, his ability to help his players grow, and his mentorship of Shawn, helping to ensure that our girls program remains strong.

The Bantam Girls team finished their successful season with an 18-3-1 record, winning gold medals in both the EYBA playoffs and the Youth Provincial Championships.

Coach Darryl will be featured on an upcoming episode of "The Basketball Show" radio program with host Paul Sir, which airs on TSN 1260 on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m.

Congratulations to Darryl for this well-deserved honour!
