ABA Membership
All players, coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and executive members of the Morinville Youth Basketball Association (MYBA) are required to pay an annual membership fee with the Alberta Basketball Association. This is a separate cost in addition to season fees set by the MYBA and must be paid prior to the start of the season.
The membership year runs annually-Sept 1 to August 31.
Individual Membership Fee: $20.00/player
The Alberta Basketball Association (ABA) is the governing body for the sport of basketball in Alberta.
Purpose of governance

Ensures a commitment by the event organizer that the event will be conducted in accordance with ABA guidelines

Ensures that the event will be conducted in a fair and safe manner

Encourages the recognition of results

Ensures that the event meets a standard of quality required for sanctioning by ABA

Provides insurance for participants’ safety for those activities sanctioned by ABA
